How do I change a folder from non-write to writable on a Mac-pro?
There seems to be multiple folders magically changed because I have used these folders previously without incident.

Not sure I understand your question. What exactly happens when you try to export images from Lightroom? can you include a screen shot of the export dialog box you get?
Use Mac Finder.
Navigate to the folder in question, check the properties.
