Would really appreciate it if someone could help me with this. Been trying to change the dictionary in Indesign to Dutch so I can check spelling. Changed the language to Dutch from the preferences but still it doesn't recognise the dutch words?(See pic).

Does this have to do that the program itself is in English? Still there should be a way to set the spelling to another language?

Go into the character panel and change the language there. If you have character or paragraph styles in your document you will also need to change the language there in the Advanced Type section of those styles.
