My LR Classic has stopped importing RAF files. it says it cannot read the file or write to the disc. you can see the thumbnails of the images but when you try to continue the import it never pulls down any of them.  I updated to latest version 7.5 and that did not help. Ideas?

it says “the following files were not imported because they could not be read or the destination folder is not writable.”

and then lists the file #s.

it actually imported one of them on the last go-round before giving up and generating this message on the others.

Only suggestion I have would be to double check the permissions on the destination folder to make sure you have both read and write permissions.

thanks, but i have no import problems with my Nikon NEF files so it must be something unique to the RAF files, at least I assume so. I also tried switching the destination folder back and forth from external drive to internal and that did not help. again, you can see the images on thumbnail; they just don’t import.

Have you tried using your OS to copy them to the hard drive and then import them to Lightroom? How are you importing, connecting the camera or using a card reader?
