Premiere and Media Encoder get stuck while importing AVCHD file

For months now, part of my weekly video workload for work includes dragging a AVCHD file into the project window of Premiere and it imported without issue. When trying the same thing today, the progress bar gets halfway and just sits there. A similar bug happens when dragging .mts files from the AVCHD file structure into media encoder. Any idea why this is happening?

Dont drag, import via Media Browser.

I am having the same issue. Used Media Browser, import, drag and drop, Media Encoder.
The file opens normaly on Quicktime and VLC, but its impossible to edit.

Please Adobe Help!
