hello. i tried to import footage that i had already worked with in premiere into my current project. However, when I import it, in the timeline there is no sequence. Here is a video: Well it won't let me upload footage to this. Basically, I import it (I also tried legacy titles), and it doesn't create a sequence in the timeline. But when I go into my project (Project:2018 camping trip, it says), the sequence is there. Then, I try to drag in into the timeline. it works, but the timeline is unselectable(can't scrub, select clips, etc).please help. here is my computer info:

It sounds like you did a screen capture movie to show the problem, any chance you can upload to Vimeo, Youtube etc and insert a link to that in the chat here?

To explain some of your questions:

- when you import footage into Premiere it doesn't create a sequence. It just imports footage, that's it. You need to create sequence yourself

- if you open an exisiting Premiere project then there may be a sequence in there if you created one in the past

-as to the problem with Timeline, did you try resetting Premiere?

Yes, I created a sequence. It still doesn't work. actually, it's the playhead that's not selectable.

Thanks,  I did notice after your title clip drag that the timeline does not activate/focus when you attempt to drag the playhead but notice your playhead in the Program Monitor moves.

Could you attempt after dragging the title clip to simply click the timeline -- anyway blank --  or type Shift 3 and get the focus on the timeline before trying to drag the playhead.  I know you should not have to do this but it would be interesting to see if it works because when you maximise/undock the timeline it works because the focus is on that panel

Actually the timeline should focus because of the drag & drop and not because you attempt to move the Playhead.  Nevertheless try pressing Shift 3 after the drag and drop and before you scrub the playhead

That is odd. When you take Timeline into fullscreen mode it works but when set back to default it doesn't..

And, as you were moving playhead in Timeline (or actually trying to move it), it was actually moving in Program Monitor...

Update your graphics card driver: looks like a redraw issue of the UI.

Also note your laptop is but 2 core.

Test with actual footage and not the titler which is beginning to get obsolete.

tried with the same footage a while later. It worked! I didn't have to do anything. Thanks for helping. Anyway, I tried to load the news graphic in, and there was a red line above it. When I play that 1 section, it lags alot. Can I render this so it doesn't lag or something?
