Hope you'll be able to help me. I import an AE composition in Premiere Pro via Dynamic Link. I modifiy the composition in AE. Back to PP, the composition is not updated. No way.
Sorry for the delay in response. Are you still facing the issue? We have a new update for both the applications. Please update and check if the issue persists in the latest versions.
No worry. Actually, it's a problem I've since several version. I can't update right now, I've to finished a production first, but then I'll tell you.
Hope the update will fix this problem, speed performance, and fix another problem of compatibliity : when I upload files fomr several camera, if some files have the same name (miv-0001...), PP will mix the different files, the image of one of them mixed with the sound of another one. A huge problem, if we shoot with several cameras, we have to re-name every files.. waste of time.
Thanks for the reply. Is it possible to create a new post in detail for the mix up of sound and image of different footage as its a different issue and it requires more info?
I honestly believe that the whole Dynamic Link system needs a thorough look-at. It has been several years now since its introduction and regardless of how much more powerful computers have become since then, it remains a completely random experience - sometimes working fine, often just refusing to do what it is supposed to do, and creating situations where you potentially are unable to even open your project file if it contains dynamically linked content, unless that app was launched first.
I used to be a believer in it, but it has consistently brought frustration and I am unable to trust it any longer for any critical project.
