Need Help ASAP - Trouble Importing into Lightroom

I am having trouble importing some photos into Lightroom. The photos in question are grayed out and say that they have already been imported. This is the first time I am importing them as I had just taken them. I figured that there were photos with the same filename, so I searched and found some - deleted those and it's still rendering the same message. Any ideas? I need to get these photos imported so I can edit now! And even more are that the ones that aren't grayed out also have same filenames on computer that I had to delete..... but never went gray. WHY just these? Ugh... Please help.

This should not matter, but are you directly connecting the camera to the computer or using a card reader?

Did you delete them from Lightroom?

Is it even remotely possible that you really did previously import these photos?
