Preserving source audio settings in audio clip mixer. HELP!

Im working with a 12 track feature for which I'm mostly grabbing the split dialogue track.

I'll load it into the source monitor panel and solo out the dialogue track in the clip mixer.

Then maybe i'll click on another panel or cut a clip into the timeline etc (which deselects the source panel.)

When i go back to listen to the source clip again in the source monitor panel, the solo'd dialogue track is no longer soloed and i end up having to enable the solo button for dialogue every time.

It's very frustrating!

Is there a way to preserve my clip mixer settings for a source that's loaded into the source monitor panel so long as it stays active in the source monitor?

Did i explain this clearly?
