Unable to import photographs

I am unable to import photographs into Lightrrom - this has just started today anyone any ideas? Thanks

need more info MAC vs PC, what version LR? Try to download images to hard-drive than add them to hard drive?

Mac Mojave v 10.14

Lightroom Classic CC 8.0 release Camera Raw 11

Have images on a RAID drive and importing from there

Images are from Sony A7ii - tiff and jpg
