Lr Classic CC not finding lens profile for supported lens

Hi,

I'm using a lens that is on the list of officially supported lens profiles (a "Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR" if that matters, see https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/supported-lenses.html). However, when I try to switch on the automatic profile corrections on a RAW file shot with that lens, Lightroom shows a message that it was unable to find a matching profile. As far as I can tell, the lens is reported correctly in the EXIF data. When I try to select the profile manually, the menu only displays a few (8) Nikon lenses, not nearly as many as should be supported. Is there anything I need to do to download additional supported lens profiles?

Running the current Lr Classic CC version 8.0, Camera Raw 11.0 on macOS 10.14.

Thanks.

Make sure you are working with a RAW file. From the text of your post is sounds like you are working with a JPG file. There aren't many lens profiles for JPG file because normally the camera includes the profile for JPGs.

Thank you. It was definitely a RAW file (Nikon .NEF). After several attempts I've now uninstalled and re-installed Lightroom and now the lens profiles work as expected. Don't know what happened here. All installations were done by the Adobe Creative Cloud tool.

Hi,

I just noticed this issue today also and found a reply to a post back in 2016 regarding this.  It mentioned clearing the editing history.  Not sure how but after clearing the editing history on one photo I could see all the lens profiles again allowing me to apply to one and copy to the rest.  Hope it helps you also.
