A little more complicated actually. Old iMac -late 2009, but plenty of free space--running High Sierra and Photoshop CC 2015.5. I've had no problems for a couple of months since I installed High Sierra, but Photoshop refused to open today. I thought I might as well update it so I installed CC 2019. It won't open either. Neither version will. I tried to restart my computer but it says that Photoshop CC 2019 is preventing shut down, even after I force-quit it.
Perhaps I made a mistake in allowing it to keep preferences from the older version.
But what can I do now to get out of this situation?
Thank you!
Hi
Try using the Adobe Cleaner Tool
Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

What did the trick? I did the cleaner and removed it but than it still showed the icon and reopened uninstalled. Tripping up the whole thing. I restarted my computer, going to reinstall the app... Doubt it'll work though.
