I have Premiere Pro CC 2018, and it seems my mask and what actually gets masked is fairly different. At least on the right side, as you can see below. Please help?
Also, I've only been using Premiere for a couple months so I'm still quite the noob.
Thanks in advance!

Can you post a screen shot of your sequence settings? (Click anywhere in the timeline to select it, then go to the Menu Sequence > Sequence Settings).
Can you click on the wrench in the Program Monitor:
and post a screen shot of what those settings are?

A few things:
very odd framerate.
I would change the preview codec
and turn off Comp in linear color.

Thanks to both of you for your help, I have since changed my framerate to 24 and turned off Composite in Linear Color, but it still doesn't seem to have fixed the problem.
However, I feel this is probably caused by me not changing the preview codec like Ann suggested. Do you have any ideas what I could change the codec to? Thanks.
By the way, here are my options:

Set the Editing Mode to Custom, then choose something simple like and I-Frame MPEG codec:
This is good general advice but I'm not sure it is going to address the displaced matte.

Thanks, I made the changes you suggested. And as you said, I'm sure it's good advice but it didn't fix the problem. 😕

Is there any monitor scaling in the OS settings?

Now that sounds like what might be causing the problem. But I'm not exactly sure where I can find the settings you speak of.
Thanks!

Is this the only clip the mask goes wrong or are there more in your project?

This is the only clip I have applied a mask to, and will apply to.
Edit: I tried applying a much simpler mask to a different clip and it seems it doesn't have the problem. Not sure if that's just because it was a much simpler mask, or...
