I am having an issue in Lightroom Classic CC.  When I go in to the develop tab, it says "loading" at the bottom of the image, but never loads.  It is just stuck like that and I can get no work done. Any help would be appreciated!!!!

Can you post a screen shot? Are you working with original images? Are your images on your internal drive or an external drive? Is it all images or just one image?

Original images on an external drive.  There are multiple images, I am a wedding photographer.  Any image I Click on I develop says loading and then nothing else will work and I eventually have to force quit.  I would post a screen shot but I currently cannot get it to even open. I know it was updated yesterday.

Can you do a quick test and copy an image to a temp desktop folder?

Update the image location in the Library module and see if you can edit it in the develop module. If you can please check the permissions on your EHD just in case the update messed with that.

If you still can't edit in develop module when the image is on your local drive can you create a new catalog as a test and import the image and check that. If that works you may want to see if you have a recent backup to try.

Please do not post a “me too” message to a thread that is several years old. Your problem may seem the same as the one discussed here, but the chance that it is really the same as a problem that occurred many years ago is very slim. Find a recent thread, or create a new thread explaining in detail what your problem is. Do not forget to give information about your OS (Windows or MacOS, version?) and give the Lightroom version number.

You’ve posted to an ancient thread. It is highly unlikely that the issue described in this thread, though not impossible, is the same one you are currently experiencing. Rather than resurrect an old thread that is seemingly similar, you are better off posting to a new thread with fresh, complete information, including system information, a complete description of the problem, and step-by-step instructions for reproduction.

If the issue is the same, we will merge you back into the appropriate location.

Thank you!
