Caption problem in Premiere Pro CC 13.0.1

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to add some captions to a HD project.

I'm using an iMac 2017 with 40gb's of RAM. But when im texting, letters come after i text them.

I start and finish texting a line and then i watch the letters come one by one.

It takes forever to finish captioning a movie like this.

Anyone having the same issue?

Not on PC.

Test whether limited to captions by selecting the text tool and just typing in the program monitor.

Also, create a new test project, and see how text behaves there.

Other things I'd try: Restart your Mac. Reset workspace. Reset preferences.
