Hello everyone,

I have a silly problem but I cannot find how to fix it and which setting is wrong.

When I move my video track from 1 to 2, the audio always stays on 1 ; I have to move it manually on 2.

I did'nt had this problem before but it's annoying.

Thanks for the help,

Alan

It doesn't seem to be the answer my problem.

It's when I move v1 to v2, audio stays on A1. Maybe it's not clear ?

Firstly how many video and audio tracks do you have?

If you have 2 video tracks with linked audio and you move the video track to another layer the audio track will remain on track 1

If you want to move V1 and A1 to V2 and A2 you need to create a A2 track first and then move it

I have 3 video tracks and 3 audio tracks created on my timeline. It doesn't seem to be the problem of the amount of tracks.

I never faced this problem before. Normally, if you edit video, the audio moves to the corresponding audio track, no ?

Yes, no problem, It's just that usually when I move my video from V1 to V2, the audio moves also automatically to A2.

Do you see the problem ?

Is the video and audio unlinked?  If so, highlight them and right click > link.

Try resetting the preferences:

FAQ: How to reset preferences in Premiere Pro?

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:

Reset a workspace

Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
    • Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.

That is by design (I used to follow but that was in the Dark Ages).

If you want to set the audio to A2 you move the video to V2 then hold down shift+ctrl and the mouse and pull the audio to A2.
