Since updating to the latest release, when I choose the import option, the screen only partially changes. The menu on both sides remain as per the library menu. The grid of photo's extends under the left hand menu also. Nothing can be done at this point. I have to hit Command Q (using a Mac) and get the dialog box stating "Close the Import Dialog and Quit?" At this point another dialog box tells me I'm still sync'ing 32 photo's and do I want to wait or continue to close. It always thinks I'm syncing 32 photo's whenever I'm closing down. This never changes regardless of how many photo's I actually have sync'd. I have given it hours before closing but it is still syncing 32 photo's! (All the photo's are already sync'd with my other devices correctly). The only way to be able to get into the import page is to close down Lightroom and go straight to import.
Anyone else have these problems?
I'm running on a late 2015 Mac, 3.2 GHz Intel core i5, 16GB DDR3 ram, AMD Radeon R9 M390 2048MB graphics card, 27" 5K retina screen, macOS Mojave.

And finally, I am learning more and more that many LR sins can be repaired by redoing your preferences file.

Thanks David for your various comments and suggestions. I reset my preferences using your handy link but after playing with Lightroom for a bit it repeats the same issue. Here are some photo's....
This one shows the screen after the import button was clicked in the library mode. You can see the photo's at the lhs are partially covered by the menu. Also, on the rhs, you can just over half way down the highlighted bar of the import menu below the library menu that's sitting on top!
When I hit Command Q to close the app get the following window, (I had clicked on the map module before I hit command Q. That's why a map has appeared in the top left):
After hitting the quit button, the screen reverted back to the library module window and gave me the next message:
At this point the message tells me it's still syncing 32 photo's and if I shutdown the sync will pause until the next time.
