    Login Settings always lost

      Hello,

      i have worked long time with the old INTERAKT Tools and with the Login-Tools. But now with ADDT,CS3 & Vista (PHP 5 & MySQL 5) I have one new problem on my sites and the ADDT control panel, cause every time in entered the login settings, save if of course, next time i open the setting again, they are lost, and any login-features wont work correctly.

      So I tried myself to solve this problem, I watched the conf-file tNG_config.inc.php. There is one special line, that is a problem:

      >>> $tNG_login_config["table"] = "`user`";

      These special chars around the tablename are an result from the ADDT Login-Setting-Dialog. Removing these chars, makes the login-tools work correctly again. So I backup my corrected version of this file and bring it back, when I need to do it.

      But this is not the way it should work! It is really frustating to bring it back again and again. There should be a bugfix for that. Will we anticipate any Bugfix or upgrade for ADDT.

      My all around experience with ADDT is, that it isn't 100% stable in working with CS3. It seems to me, that ADDT actually isn't really well supported and developed. In compare to INTERAKT this forum isn't really a good support. The INTERAKT Kollektion was a not perfect, but really powerful tool. Since Adobe catched it, nothings seems to happen with it. Why?

          Hi Heiner,

          this is an undocumented bug with Dreamweaver CS3 (not with ADDT itself) actually, and you could have discovered a lengthy thread about this in these forums.

          Please rename the column "user" to something else (e.g. user_usr) and recreate your ADDT login stuff. The reason for this bug is :: Dreamweaver itself uses the term "user" multiple times in it´s own "libraries" -- sort of naming conflict, if you will.

          Cheers,

            Uups, Günter

            thank you very much for that fast support! So the things are maybe not so hopeless, than it seems. :)

            But one suggestion for this ADDT forum. Some subgroups for all these differenct aspects of ADDT would be helpful, to get an better overview. The search feature alone isn't really satisfying, cause it lists not the best results in the top, only from new to old.

            Sorry, we ADDT Customers are not doing it easy for Adobe ;-) cause we know that Adode could do it better. So I hope for a succesful future of ADDT 2.0 with great new features next year(??).

            Thank you again
