I usually move from Lightroom to photoshop using "Ctrl E". After yesterdays update photoshop opens the image but non of the menus are active. All I can do is close the application. If I open Photoshop directly Then open an image I can use Camera Raw and the image will then open in Photoshop and all menu items work.

Since "yesterday's update" was only for PSCC - from 20.0 to 20.0.1 - and didn't affect either LR or ACR, this sounds more like a PS problem.

I did the Photoshop update yesterday, and Ctrl+E works as expected on my Windows 10 computer.

Two things, I will comment separately as to separate your reply’s.
1. When you are in LightRoom, in Develop, and you select edit, do you see edit in PhotoShop?
if not, reinstall PhotoShop

Answer to 1. No. But if I right click on the image I can select edit in lightroom.

I did a screen share with an Adobe technician earlier today. He said that there was a known issue with the latest update and suggested that I install the 2018 copy of photoshop. My post was moved by an Admin from a Creative Cloud forum to this one. Thanks for your help

Several people have had the issue wher in LR the edit in PS was missing, reinstalling PS fixed, I had this issue.
incidentaly, when You open up your Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop, and enter the Apps tab, do you see more than one instance of PS, perhaps 2019 AND 2018, despite thinking their should only be one? Some users have had that issue,I had that, uninstalled the extra, later my edit in PS was noticed by me, don’t know if the two oddities are related.

I have uninstalled PS twice but no change - I will try again tomorrow.
The Adobe technician installed version 19.1.7. So I have version 20.0.1 also installed. They are the only versions that appear in the Creative Cloud desktop. I have to click on Installed Aps to see the 2 versions - on 1 version of PS appears in Aps

Nasty, I was about to state "Well, my copy: as shown below. I am not seeing these issue." But, Yep, IF you launch PS first it behaves. If PS is not running, and you "edit in" PS fails (to display many many menu items)

Thank you for your help. The thread describes my problem but in a much more accurate way than I did. After spending a day on this I reverted to the previous version. Spent the evening viewing ON 1 tutorials.
