so recently I've been getting strange filters on my video files on premiere pro cc, I don't why it is doing that nor do I remember playing with any settings or adding anything. Is there anyway to remove this so I can get the original footage when editing or somehow completely reset the settings of premiere?
Hi Mark,

You can review the FX badge of each clip in the Timeline to see if effects are applied and then go the Effects Controls Panel to make adjustments or remove them.
Apply and remove effects from clips in Premiere Pro
Or, you can add the Global FX Mute button in the Program Panel and then enable it to turn off all effects. If you still see your video being affected in some manner with Global FX Mute enabled, the issue is something else (my guess would be a display driver issue).

Great advice Warren. I hope the OP posts out a screen grab so we get to see these weird filter issues

When I play these videos on other media platforms such as VLC it's perfectly fine, just on premiere I'm having this issue

I'll have to provide a screen grab when I get home, but I'm experiencing the exact same issue and it happened out of nowhere. Files look perfectly clear in the imports, but once I put them in the timeline there's a strange filter similar to this one shown. I tried exporting and most clips are clear, but others show the filter. Very frustrating.
