I have a paid (non-subscription) version of Acrobat DC that I purchased with my Dell computer in July 2017. It came already installed so I have no serial number to try to re-register it. In November 2017, I purchased a year of Creative Cloud. I cancelled the membership before renewal and have uninstalled all of the apps including Creative Cloud but left my Acrobat DC since I don't have any way to re-install it from my original purchase. Now I can't even open a pdf without having to sign in to my Adobe account and it is requiring me to enter a serial number or start a trial. Any suggestions?
Hi stephaniem,
As per the issue description mentioned above, you want to locate the serial number for Acrobat DC on the machine as when trying to open a pdf, Acrobat is asking to sign in, is that correct?
Please try the suggestion shared by a user ( at post#6)in the thread given below:
Where is my Acrobat serial number?

In the meantime, you may download Reader on the machine to view pdfs: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions

Thanks - I actually figured out the Dell Digital Download thing about 3 hours after I posted the question & was going to update my post this morning (I'd had enough of computers for the day!). Very frustrating that my purchase of Creative Cloud for a year basically hijacked my non-subscription purchase though! It took me most of the day to get everything back to how it was prior to the purchase. Given all of the difficulty in converting it back, I will definitely think long & hard before purchasing any more Creative Cloud products in the future.
