It's a new bug. I'm experienced Adobe user. I work a lot with Premier and AE. Everything's as usual, but it's just no sound at all. Manipulation with audio devices doesn't help.  Some odd sequence of opening and closing projects and deleting CASH files occasionally get the sound back. But I still can't figure out what is it exactly. New project- and again this dance with cash files and opening-closing in hope to bring sound back. Any help?

Hi Caroline

Thanks a lot for advice!
Unfortunately It doesn't helped
But I've figured out one trick!
This bug is only in newest 2019 release
And (thanks to Adobe) installer is leaving older version on disk too

So the thick is to launch AP 2018 (this version works fine)
Open  just to play in it for a sec and to watch AP working as it's supposed to..

And after that launch 2019 and voila!! 2019 also works!
As if version 2018 knows something that 2019 doesn't
and it needs help from older brother to figure

I don't suppose that your video was recorded on a camcorder that uses the Dolby audio codec?

Most of the time I use mp4 h.264
but this bug doesn't depend on which video is used as footage.

It doesn't depend on which sound
or what video format is
Everything works - your restart premier- it doesn't!

Hi there, Samoleg!

That sounds really frustrating. I'm so sorry your sound isn't playing! My first suggestion would be to toggle with the settings under your "audio hardware" preferences but it seems like you've already tried that. The other go-to answer for strange behavior like this is to reset your preferences completely. Make sure to read this post because it clarifies what will and won't be trashed during the reset!

FAQ: How to reset (trash) preferences in Premiere Pro?

While you're trying that, I'll ask around to see if anyone else has any ideas.

I don't know.. maybe it'll help to figure out the nature of this bug...
