I've followed the steps to manually install PDF printer. When I attempt to choose an Adobe PDF Converter file (step 8), none of them work.I get a variety of errors:

  • Converter file 1 Unable to find a core driver package that is required by the printer driver package
  • Files 2-6 The system cannot find the file specified
  • Files 7-10 The hash for the file is not present in the specified catalog file. The file is likely corrupt or the victim of tampering.

This a fresh Acrobat install from this morning and I've rebooted Windows.
Windows 10 Pro (1803)
Acrobat 2017 (17.011.30105)

EDIT: The need to install the PDF printer manually arose from receiving the 'Could not find PDF Printer Instance"  error in Framemaker 2019. However, I'm able to save Word docs and Robohelp files as PDFs.

Hi AdamG117,

Sorry for the delay in response.

As per the issue description mentioned above, you are facing issue when trying to add pdf printer manually, is that correct?

Could you try following troubleshooting steps:

1- Download and run cleaner tool on the machine to uninstall Acrobat: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

2- Reboot the machine.

3- Download and install Acrobat from here: Download Acrobat 2017

You need your Acrobat 2017 serial number to complete the install
