Original + Smart prieview

Hi,

After start the LR show Original + Smart prieview and after 2 sec I see only the Smart prieview and can't open the photo in PS. Which problem?

photos on the external hard disc, disc is connected.

Do you have checked in the Library if there are an exclamation mark on the thumbnail of the appropriate picture?

If the image has a smart preview, you won’t see an exclamation point if the original is missing. Some other images (without smart preview) do have an exclamation point however, as can be seen in the film strip.

Look at the images on the left of the selected ones. Some do not have a smart preview and show the ‘missing image’ exclamation point. That means there is a problem with that hard drive. Maybe the drive letter that was assigned by Windows has changed, ortherwise there may be a problem with the physical connection.

If the image has a smart preview, you won’t see an exclamation point if the original is missing.

And note under the histogram (in your screen-clip), if it says only [Smart Preview], then Edit-In Photoshop is not possible. Ps must have the "Original"
