Hi nnicnic

Sorry for the delay in response.

Could you let us know dot version of Acrobat and the operating system installed on the machine? You may refer to the steps given in this link on how to check the version in Acrobat: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Does this happen with this specific pdf file? Have you tried with another pdf file to see if this behavior continues?

How exactly do you add the object? What blend mode do you use, if a choice is available?

Please show both images separately too.

I just put the rectangle from drawing tool on top of the image. Filled it with green colour. When it is solid(100% opacity) it's just a green box but when I decrease opacity, part of the image where overlapped with rectangle box has this negative effect.

Also, check if you have latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine using "Check for updates" option under "Help" menu,  You may also download updates from here: Adobe software and product updates

Reboot the machine after installing update and try again.

I tried replicating the issue on a windows machine with Acrobat Pro DC's latest version but the issue was not reproducible.

Please find below the screenshot for the same:

Let us know if you need any help.
