I have a user that has to copy PDF's to his computer to open & view them. If he tries to view them from the network location, all he gets are blank pages. Searching the forum's I say someone with a similar issue say to uncheck the Online locations check boxes, but that didn't help.

What can I do?

Hi Cwilson-vts,

As you have mentioned above, the PDF opens as a blank page when open from the network location.

If the user is using Reader DC, try once to disabling the Protected mode at start-up and check if he can open the files after that.

(Note: Make sure that the user enables the protected mode after testing. It is suggested to keep the protected mode enabled for security purpose.)

Also, try adding the file in the trust list in the application preferences.

In application, go to Edit menu > Preferences > Security (Enhanced).

Check if the steps provided above makes any difference.

Please provide us with some details so we can

- Is it an issue with all the PDFs on the network?
- Do the user get an error message when he tries to open the PDF? If yes, please share the exact error message.

- What is the application and OS version on the machine?

We will be waiting for your response.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Meenakshi
