need help with licensing error

Whenever I try to use my Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, I get an error box that pops up and states that "Licensing for this product has stopped working"

It further states that "You cannot use this product at this time.  You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or Adobe customer support for help (148:3)  Any suggestions to fix this without uninstalling and reinstalling?  Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately the answer you gave munchkin2018 is NOT valid for versions of Windows later than Version 7.  I have Version 10 and the instructions in Solution 4 for Version 7 and Vista refer to options ans screens that do not show up in Windows 10.  I searched around and thought I had found a workaround but discovered it didn't work.  Can someone from Adobe update the instructions in:
