Why are you using PNGs? What are your settings in the compression tab for interactive pdf export?
I'm using PNGs because it's what I found for free social icon sources. Should you have a better recommendation I'm all in
Here are my compression settings:
JPEG 2000, high quality JPEG, 300 DPI
I'd recommend working with vector files instead of bitmapped files.
For example, you can download bitmap and vector assets from twitter here: Twitter Brand Resources. And here's what they say (emphasis is mine):
Looking to download the Twitter logo? Artwork files for print (.EPS), broadcast, and web (.SVG and .PNG) can be downloaded from here.
Vector version are available. AI, PDF or even EPS.
Many thanks for the link, that's super useful!
However, even with this high quality icon, my issue is still the same
At least it means icon quality are not the concern..
There should be something else that I'm doing incorrectly but what?
Did you place the .eps file directly on the InDesign page? (Saved to your local drive, used File > Place to add it to your document?)
Have you tried printing the page? Is it just blurry on screen, or does it print blurry as well?
