Hallo everybody

Videos from Gopro Mp4 format, transformed to constant rate and 30fps with handbrake, uploaded in adobe: video looks fine before cutting - after cutting and moving it to the video line and then viewing it again: it looks a little like black and white, blurred!

No idea what to do! Never seen that before!

I used the same setting with a lot of videos before, opened and closed adobe, used different videos, opened new projects - always the same.

Thanks for your help!

Try resetting the preferences:

FAQ: How to reset preferences in Premiere Pro?

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:

Reset a workspace

Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
    • Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.

from here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/workspaces.html

If that doesn’t work,,try updating or rolling back your graphics driver

How did you convert it?

Have you tried turning off GPU acceleration to see if it still occurs?

Sorry to ask.

Disable or enable GPU acceleration of effects

  • Choose File > Project Settings > General.
  • In the Video Rendering And Playback section, select the appropriate renderer: Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration or Mercury Playback Engine Software Only.

from here:

Types of effects in Premiere Pro

Please note that this is only for troubleshooting to see if it may be a video driver issue and may slow down Premiere Pro if left turned off.

Hallo

after I contacted the support  - they answered: User interface/display related.

What ever that means....

It does not happen only on this computer, but on every other electronic device.

And other movie programs work - but I want to continue to work with Adobe...

Please help me!

Video: GoPro Hero 7,

No possibility to change settings of programme to 100ffs

(I tried different settings, 30 and 60fps in adobe, and tried to transform the video to constant framerate instead of peak framerate before using it with Adobe (that’s a typical thing I do before working with GoPro hero films, usually everything works fine, then)

But: Film looks good when uploaded and opened in viewing area

Now I insert video in and out marker to cut it

By moving the film down in the area below I want to continue with the working with the video

Now the same video looks like this:

Black and dark blue/grey, not moving correctly

I tried:

  • Transform  the video to constant framerate
  • Transform the video to 30fps or 60fps
  • Completely deinstallation and reinstallation of Adobe
  • not all videos show the same problem (no GoProVideos work great)

Hallo

Thank you for your answer - but please be patient with me - I am a simple

user and not an IT expert...

Therefore:

1) maybe this changes the discussion: it is not only associated with GoPro

but also with fotos! Simple jpg fotos!

for example: 7 fotos taken on the same day with the same camera - 6 no

problem to upload them in the film, one shows the same problems: while

uploading, picture is perfect, as soon as I move the picture to the working

area below and want to anything with it: it gets black! eg background is

black, front is more or less ok - I can do everything, switch the photo to

different formats, open it in adobe photoshop 2018 and save it for the web

it does not make any difference.

See attached fotos for explanation - Eva is the foto - Eva 1 after moving

it in the edition ara

therefore: What do you need?

2) What do you mena with computer specs?

3) What do you mean wiht PR build?

4) Where do I find media info?

Thank you!

Hallo Ann

it is now more than few days that I answered on your email in the blog and

I even contacted you a second time and got no response. What is going on?

Are you ill? No answer is not what I have hoped for, especially as no one

is willing to help me on the phone, either.

Hallo Bob

I am back again with the same problem!

On the main computer mostly GoPro Hero Black 6 films (mp4) appear black and blurred, on the laptop with the same version everthing is normal.

If I transfer a finalized video to the computer - the part of the films are blurred and black again, although they were normal on the laptop version.

I tried the tips above - but looks like they did not help.

Best wishes
