Hello

On launching indesign a white screen pops up that takes over the program. You can click the X on it but it then shuts down the whole program.

Searched the forums and have don't all things suggested in Re: InDesign 2019 – Launch Error Freezing on start Screen

I have renamed the %appdata% indesign folder

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling indesign

Used the Adobe Cleaner Tool to remove indesign after uninstalling

Graphics drivers updated to latest version

Various combinations of clicking on startup and trying to beat the white screen.

I think this is the little "tour" thing that pops up to show you what's new with the update. Can you dismiss by deleting a file?

This problem only happens with 2019.

This problem is also happening to my colleague's computer (same build).

UPDATE: I have fixed it.
I made a new user account. Adobe is already installed for all users.
I opened Indesign 2019 on the new user account.
It opens.
I get a pop up saying you have reached the maximum amount of users. I click sign out for one of them.

Log back into my main account.

It now works.

Copied this task on my coworker's computers. Same result.

I assume this will work till I sign in somewhere else.

Are all your drivers and bios up to date?

Had a similar problem recently and updated the bios and it worked.

Hiya thanks for that, but updating the BIOS seems little extreme.
Maybe this is a popup saying I've reached maximum activations? I saw one of these appear on my mac at about the same time in the adobe startup sequence.
Is there some universal way to reset all of the logins for creative cloud?

Not at all - updating a bios is always a good idea to ensure that it's compatible with future releases of any software, it's like updating anything, works out kinks and optimises and makes them better.

For creative cloud there is no maximum activations - you can have them on as many computers as you wish - you can only be signed into 1 at a time though.

If you are signed in somewhere else you can sign out - check out this link Learn how to activate and deactivate Creative Cloud apps

I wonder if your firewall is a bit too aggressive. Maybe anti virus?

I would strongly suggest using the CC Cleaner tool

Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems
