Why not?
I was just trying to respond to someone's answer to one of my posts!
Very bizarre.
If there is a considerable time between when you first started answering the thread and you conclude (ie you needed to do different work in between) it happens that you get disconnected.
It also happens occasionaly without pausing because of an unknown intermittant problem.
In both cases the solution is to copy your answer, cancel and push the reply link again. You can then paste your complete answer and push the post button.

Yes, after shutting the site down and re-opening it.
Happens often. The question is "why?".

Well I do not know what your (private) conversation is about, but if you ask a question in a different language, you (and others) can use the translate feature to understand the essence. The biggest problem is to ask in the correct forum.

Yes, that's what I usually do; but Adobe is a software-based company who ought to be able to provide a permanent fix.

the forum software is third party and believe it or not, Adobe is customer there. Any bugs are out of control of Adobe. This is common practice.

Aha!
But is it common practice for the client (Adobe) to demand that the software it pays for works to satisfaction? Or is Adobe too small to flex muscles?

Well that’s none of my business. I’m a customer myself.

A paying customer?

I’m therefore visiting a lot the fora — and also because it is fun answering questions.

I can see that. What does ACP stand for?

ACP: Adobe Community Professional
MVP: Most Valuable Participant
It’s a kind of recognition for people active in the community.

You’re welcome to ask any question. If there is an answer, someone probably finds it. As for the rest: Thanks for the flowers, it’s a pleasure to help out users in need — and to be honest, some of us are freelancers, and this adds to their reputation, helping them to get hired.
