Effects dont work

FX changes dont show in preview window/rendered project if I use animate button.

said fx changes should add purple tint (in case you dont know your colors) which i want to slowly come over the project highlighted part

edit: if i dont animate it, it looks rough but it works. but its so beyond ugly... so its only when i animate it, and this goes for ANY fx changes.

Sorry for the preview issue. It seems like an issue with the renderer.

Just for a test, change the renderer in project settings and try again. Here are the steps: FAQ: How to change the Video Renderer in Premiere Pro?

I tried this and what Ann suggested neither worked. I thought it was just the preview window that was broken, so I tried to edit it as normal and then export it and yeah, no changes were made. 😕

If Premiere is acting weird trash preferences:

FAQ: How to reset (trash) preferences.

You could also delete all preview files.
