It's finally here. Blender 2.8 with EEVEE tech.

Stable release for Win and Beta for Mac

Incredible. Check this out. I have played with it and I cannot believe what I am seeing.

I've yet to see any Mac run EEVEE

Heheh yeah Macs struggle a little compared to PC's but a promised update will soon be fixing this

Small point but both Mac and PC versions are listed as Beta.  The stable release is 2.79b

Yes - that is what I also see.   2.8 is Beta on all OS  and 2.79 stable on all versions. Like I said, it was small point but the first post suggested 2.8 was stable on PC

As an aside, I'm surprised they haven't called it version 3 with such a massive change to the user interface and the rendering engine.

Great for fast rendering - so big advantages for motion. For realistic renders though I still prefer the ray tracing (path tracing) of the Cycles render.
