Select and Mask Panel won't open

When trying to use Select and Mask (either directly or from a Selection Tool), the picture "appears" to have an onion skin overlay, but the actual Properties panel does not show any of the standard options for Select and Mask as shown in the Adobe text. In addition, I really can't do anything with the picture until I press Enter and then it reverts to its normal state without the "skin."

Suggestions?

What version of Photoshop and OS do you have, if it's CC 2019 try enable this option in preferences and restarting PS

If that doesn't relate to your version or doesn't help try resetting Photoshop preferences

Have you tried updating to version 20.0.1

Can you post your Photoshop system info, in Photoshop go to Help > System Info and copy and paste that into this thread

The first Screen shot is the picture before selecting "Select and Mask"

The second shot shows the result. Notice the Properties panel does not have the options available.

You seem to have 2 GPU's on that system both an Intel 620 and an AMD but Photoshop is not seeing the AMD GPU correctly

Troubleshoot Photoshop graphics processor (GPU) and graphics driver issues

The Intel driver needs to be updated

I updated the Intel driver. No change.

I have decided to wait for now to fix this as this does not seem to have a logical reason why this is happening.

Have you tried just clicking on the properties panel tab? That happened to me this morning. Nothing there, till I clicked on the tab.
