In Adobe Premiere, when I use "Subtitles" the program usually closes unexpectedly, it fails. It happens to me continuously. I speak of Premiere CC 2019. Can someone help me?

Hi Mariano,

Are you building the subtitles in Premiere or importing subtitles?

Does this happen in every project in Premiere CC 2019, or is this just one particular project?

Also, what kind of captions/subtitles are you using (CEA-608, CEA-708, Teletext, Open Captions, etc.)?

Hi Brandon, thanks for your response.
I am always using "Open Captions". im created in Premiere, not imported.
It happens to me in all projects where i use subtitles.
At times the only way to avoid the Error and Close the Premiere, is by placing the subtitle track in "Not visible".
But still it is usually closed. I do not understand why it happens to me.

This is not one of the caption problems that has been reported.

What specific dot version of PR? (Help - About)

Describe your specifics steps; does the crash happen at the same point?

Any error message when it closes?

Hello, thanks for answering.
My version of Premiere is CC Pro (2019), using MAC.
It happens in different ways. But always related to subtitles.
When a video that I am editing has subtitles that I added, sometimes Premiere simply closes.
It does not send any message, it just closes. Simply.

I believe Stan is also asking for more detail on exactly which 2019 version of Premiere you're on (for example, 13.0 or 13.0.1). That information may also help if we can reproduce the problem to troubleshoot.

Haven't forgotten about you, I promise. Still looking into this. Are you able to update Premiere Pro to 13.0.3? If you're in mid-project, maybe keep a backup copy of your 13.0 project, and open your project after updating in the newer version. Open captions seem to work fine for me, but I've only had them in versions newer than 13.0 so far.

Thanks for your response and keep me in mind. The updates are automatic for me, I have a complete Creative Cloud, and Premiere is currently in version 13.0, it does not tell me anything to update.
