Which Version of After Effects for Dynamic Link with Premiere 12.1.2

Hi, I'm having a problem when try to DynamicLink to AE--- comps appear in AE empty.  Adobe has an out-dated compatibility chart that doesn't include anything after 2017.  I'm using Premiere 12.1.2 and AE 15.0.1.  Thanks!

To use Dynamic link update AE to 15.1.2

I'm on AE 16.0.1

Premiere 13.1.1

I can't update AE because it breaks stuff.
