    Shared Review problems. Leopard?

I've been working with a PDF document and testing them under Leopard using the document review cycles (attach for e-mail review, send for shared review, and upload for browser review). All done in Acrobat 8.1.2 and running Mac OS X 10.5.2. I took a PDF file and duplicated it in the Finder so that I had a copy of the PDF to use for each method of the document review cycle. I took one of the copies and sent it via "Attach for e-mail Review". After sending the file, I'll open one of the copies that I created and receive a message saying: "This document is a copy of a PDF that is tracked for review and may contain comments and markups which have been added by one or more reviewers." I'm confused here. And let me be clear, I didn't make a copy of the file after sending it for e-mail review. These files just happened to be copies of one another. Does anyone have any idea what's going on here?

I believe that the Review Tracker keeps track of a "review" file by name and path. Choose Comments > Review Tracker to see the reviews you've initiated or joined. If you click on the name of the review, you'll see the path to the file.

Probably you didn't change the name of the file which is in the review, which is causing Review Tracker to see it as being in the review.

It bakes the file information into the header of the PDF - therefore
merely duplicating within the finder creates a copy of everything
            internally as well.

The send of review process will rename the file anyway - either go back
to the original or perform as save-as with a new filename.
