1. Re: PPT file with audio and timings imported into Acrobat 8 (Newbie)
Bill@VT Mar 20, 2008 7:27 AM (in response to DP_MC)I am not sure you can. If you can it will be by the use of PDF Maker. If you print to the Adobe PDF printer you will lose all of the extra stuff. PDF Maker is basically a front end for the Adobe PDF printer that provides PDF Marks (or at least it used to work that way) that would direct additional functionality in the PDF. Thus, if the PDF Maker does not do the job, you will have to add it yourself. -

DP_MC Mar 20, 2008 8:49 AM (in response to DP_MC)I may be mistaken but I seem to have read somewhere that you could import the timings into Acrobat as well. As I mention I did note an icon in the corner of the frame indicating and audio file presence. However many thanks - I am going to give it a shot in PDF maker and see what transpires. -

Bill@VT Mar 20, 2008 9:14 PM (in response to DP_MC)Giving it a shot is how many of us find these things out and help others. If you find things work, it is helpful to come back and report your findings. -
4. Re: PPT file with audio and timings imported into Acrobat 8 (Newbie)
DP_MC Mar 22, 2008 11:39 PM (in response to DP_MC)Unfortunately it did not work. Being new to this we have had a number of requests for the live presentation speech to be sync'd to the ppt and emailed in acrobat form because of the size friendly email capability.
It would be great if anyone is aware of a plugin that can do the job. In the end I segmented the speech clip so that each slide had its audio and could be played by the viewer. What was not so good was that the viewer had to wait for that pregnant pause before making the decision to advance to the next slide. -
5. Re: PPT file with audio and timings imported into Acrobat 8 (Newbie)
DP_MC Mar 23, 2008 2:49 AM (in response to DP_MC)I have found a tutorial by Ted Padova which features the ability to import slides (and an audio track) which can be set to a time sequence but strangely enough in Acrobat 7 reader.
I had a look at Acrobat 8 but this feature 'éxport to slideshow' does not seem to be presen. CAn anyone advise on this? Is it possible in 8?
