Problem with Opening PDF attachments on a Mac

Hi guys,

I am putting together an e-book (I'm working on a PC) and I put the PDF file together and added some mp3 attachments. Everything worked fine for me (I was able to open all the attachments that I created), but then I sent the file to some friends of mine (both of whom have Macs) and they could not open the mp3s that I attached in the PDF document, although they were able to view everything else in the file.

Has anyone ever encountered this problem and knows how to solve it?

Thank you.

Hi Aandi,

I am not sure (I don't usually use Macs), but I figured since both of my friends couldn't open the files (on different computers) and I tried it from my office (on yet a different computer) that the problem is something with the file....can't all Mac's open mp3 files?

Thanks for your help.

I just tested, and my copy of Mac OS X "Leopard" can open MP3 files
with iTunes. Not all Macs have iTunes, though most these days probably
do.

Another issue is what they are using to view the PDF files. Are they
using Adobe Reader? Maybe they don't have Adobe Reader and are using
the built in PDF previewer in Mac OS X, which is much less full
featured.
