1. Re: Impulses not named in drop-down menu
SteveG(AudioMasters) Feb 24, 2009 1:13 PM (in response to sebrame)To use .imp files directly, you have to use Special>Convolution. The convolved reverb uses wav files. You can open a wav impulse file in EV, and turn it into an .imp file using the Convolution effect, but you will have to experiment with the scaling - possibly to a degree that might surprise you! -
2. Re: Impulses not named in drop-down menu
sebrame Feb 24, 2009 2:04 PM (in response to sebrame)The impulses I've downloaded are all wavs. I copied them into the 'Plug-ins/impulses' folder along with the ones that were already there by default. The default ones show up in the Convo reverb effect's drop down according to their filename. Hence...'Massive Cavern.wav' shows up in the convo reverb menu as simply 'Massive Cavern'. However, any other impulses I copy to that folder show up in the menu as <CUSTOM>. -

_durin_ Feb 25, 2009 10:30 AM (in response to sebrame)Hi Steven,
This is a known bug in the Convolution Reverb effect. Right now, there is no workaround for this annoying bug.

Ozpeter Feb 25, 2009 2:41 PM (in response to sebrame)Maybe try something like the SIR convolution reverb VST which used at least to be free. -
6. Re: Impulses not named in drop-down menu
(Eric_Snodgrass) Feb 25, 2009 3:42 PM (in response to sebrame)Ozpeter is right. SIR has split up their reverbs.
The SIR 1 convolution reverb is still freeware and it works extremely well. It will accept .wav impulse files.
SIR 2 convolution reverb costs money. -
