Error message when opening RAW from Bridge to CS2

Have you tried to renew preferences in Photoshop?

Are you on MAC or Windows?

After renew settings in preferences the basic set from PS is active. Go trough it and look around what you can use, explore it.

Most important is scratch disk setting, ammount of RAM and I find it useful to change the cursor setting to the last checkboxes.

Read the manual that came with your copy and or try one of the thousands tutorials that are available either free or for sale. There are very good DVD's that shows you the screen from the teacher on your own screen and so you can see what he or she does. Total Training is a good start but there are others.

Omke is referring to rebuilding Preferences in the application.

Just hold down Command+Option+Shift immediately after relaunching Photoshop or Bridge. Timing is critical.

All your preferences settings will revert to the default settings.

Sorry, Trevor. Because Omke and I are both Mac users, I assumed you were one too. I focussed on Omke's reply and the lack of specificity in your original post. My bad.

Next time, try to give a hint as to your platform and OS.

CTRL+ALT+Shift on PC

Just make sure to properly close Photoshop, Bridge... before shutting down your PC. If there are electrical problems at your home, that cause sudden shutdowns (I had the case, micro surges), invest in a Uninterruptible Power Supply.

To reset Bridge preferences you need only hold down the Alt/Option key when launching the application.

Ian's comment is only true for Bridge CS3. The dreaded 3 key with timing is needed for Bridge CS2.
