Correct. Olympus E-520 is not supported yet. -

(Reinhard_Stolpe) Jun 14, 2008 1:54 AM (in response to (Collin_Croome))I have the new Olympus E-520 too. As I am working normally with RAW-files, I can't continue with PS CS3!
Can you tell me when a new version of Adobes Camera Raw with the support for the E-520 will be available? -

michael shaffer Jun 14, 2008 3:36 AM (in response to (Collin_Croome))No one here can say exactly because the forum is for peer users only. Altho Adobe responsible personnel do frequent the forums, it isn't their responsibility to establish timelines fraught with all kinds of intangibles.
What we can tell you is that Adobe generally releases ACR updates 3 to 4 times a year, and my own guess is that you'll see another soon. -

Oly Master definitely has its pluses and minuses, but you're likely to get exactly the same results as the in-camera JPEG engine. I'd suggest you use Master to deliver low-contrast 16bit TIFs that you can develop further with ACR. The advantages of using Master are pretty much limited to noise reduction and sharpness (as if Oly knows its cameras' raw data best). The disadvangares will be apparent if you try to recover highlights, or if you've grown accustomed to ACR's excellent tonal controls.
