Delete 4.4.1 instead of just moving it. It's no use to you anyway.
ACR 4.4.1 is only compatible with Photoshop CS3. You must still have it somewhere on your computer. It has to be deleted from your computer. The only version of Camera Raw that is available for Photoshop CS is version 2.4. There will be no more updates. However, if you download the 4.4.1 version of the DNG converter and convert your files to Digital negative (DNG), you will be able to open those files with Photoshop CS and Camera Raw (ACR) 2.4.
I was all primed to debate the value of this, for I had moved the file out of the line of fire. Thinking better of arguing before trying, I deleted the offender.
Of course, you are correct. Now works like a champ.
Thank you, Jim.
I wandered in that direction late last night.
Sure seems like a lot of extra steps, but am beginning the process.

But be thankful that Adobe gives you the DNG option. You can't expect a camera to be supported that did not even exist when CS was released.
You won't be getting the most from your images, though. ACR 4.x is far superior to 2.4. The upgrade to CS3 is a no brainer.
