Download Update for Adobe Digital Editions

When I open the Adobe Digital Editions program a window opens stating, "There is a new version of Adobe Digital Editions available. To continue using Adobe Digital Editions you must down load the update." It then give you two options: Not now, Close Digital Edition or Get Update.

When I click, "Get Update" it takes me to the Adobe Digital Editions web page. I click the "down load now" link and nothing happens. Is there an error in the programming of the page or am I doing something incorrectly. Please respond ASAP for I use Digital Editions to accommodate my school reading. Thanks!

This is a known issue that happens with the Flash based install..

Get a downloadable install from this technote:

i'm having the same problem. i have a macintosh. i did all the steps. it didn't solve it. i don't have digital editions 1x5 folder.

I have the same problem for Windows XP. I tried the solution you recommendedd above but nothing happens. Depending on where I purchase my ebooks, depends on whether I can download them to my Adobe Digital Reader even though all files are in pdf format.

If you need support this isn't necessarily the place to get it. These are just occasionally monitored peer-to-peer forums. And customer services doesn't deal with technical support.

The official support channel is http://www.adobe.com/support/digitaleditions You can open a case there.

I had not previously heard of this issue happening on the Mac, so we had not posted an install for the Mac. Please open support cases for the mac install issues.
