I'm still not clear on the point of Digital Editions. Granted, Adobe Reader is a bloated mess and the world could use a lean PDF viewer, DE doesn't seem to be getting any traction.

I ask, what is the point of Digital Editions? Does it have a future?

I wonder about this as well. I have a ton of ebooks in digital editions format. If DE fades away, I hope they provide away to strip the DRM so I can read the books I have a right to have access to even as I upgrade computers.
