For information, here is what happens when I try it (Safari, Mac OS
X.5)
Download now link takes me to #download, the sectrion "Download now".
This doesn't download anything.
It says "To get started .... or you can directly download ... by
clicking the Install Adobe Digital editions button at the right". I do
not see any such button.
To the right of this text is a rather baffling graphic which seems to
be a screen shot of the product, with "System requirements" overlaid
on it. (It's actually in Flash).
Clicking on it takes me to a help page - no download. However, among
the "known issues" buried deep down this page it does say "Mac OS X
v10.5 is not presently supported".
NEXT, trying it on a Windows XP system with a secure browser setup,
the graphic is missing, and it says I have to install Flash. Well, I
don't do that on this secure system.
NOW, trying it on regular Windows XP, it's the same as on the Mac
except that when I click on the baffling graphic, it changes to a
prompt. "Adobe Digital Editions... Would you like to continue
installing..."
