I am sure there is a good reason why the develop module works this way.
I know the "workflow" is suppose to review, rate, etc. in Library mode. Then, go to Develop mode to work on the "selected" images.
The flow I would like is to basically do a one phase pass (except for images needing detail work). This would be to go to the develop mode and step through the images, rank, and do simple development (but more than the controls in Lib. mode, which I find difficult to use).
Unfortunately, the need to do the initial rendering...actually re-rendering, I think, since the jpeg has already been rendered...makes stepping through the images too slow.

...but as I said above, I find the library "develop" tools difficult...i.e. cludgy...to use.
Plus I can not apply any presets there or anything but (most) of the basic tools, so I am going to need to go to develop mode at some point anyway.
