Folders and collections are stored in the database and are therefore not searches through the database. Therefore, it makes sense to me that you can reorder collections and folders, but not the results of a search. -

But its not real practical really, regardless of the reason. The whole idea of choosing picks or keywording is to get quickly to the images you want to work with, export or ready for web. Having to then move them into a collection just to re-sort your order seems counter productive to me. But if your right, it is what it is then... -
