1. Re: Auto Import - jpg & raw - treat as seperate
John Blair Nov 12, 2007 10:19 PM (in response to 2drumstix)Don,
Since LR is non-destructive, any development you do whether on import or later in the Develop Module can be undone. It is easy enough to check for yourself. Take one raw file and import it with a develop preset and then go to the Develop Module and change it back.

Thanks for the reply. Unless I am missing something, which is entirely possible, when you do an auto import with a preset develop setting applied, you cant undo the dev setting under history because the import and dev setting are only one event. As well, under the development module the imported image comes in with whatever preset dev settings you set for import, the only way to undo the dev setting after import would be to return all the tone settings to zero, redo your tone curve, and depending on the import dev setting you selected, returning all the HSL saturation sliders to zreo as well. Yes, doable, but not without a bit of extra work involved.

John Blair Nov 14, 2007 5:32 PM (in response to 2drumstix)Hi Don,
When you do an import with a develop preset applied, you are correct that it shows only the import/develop as one action and you cannot undo it under History. To undo is easy. Go to the Library module, highlight the images that you would like to "undo" and click on "Reset All" under Quick Develop. You can also open the image in the Develop Module and choose the preset, "General-Zeroed" and it too will reset everything on that one image.
