    Real Logical AND searches.

"If no photo matches all the tags in your search criteria, the Photo Browser displays closely matching photos containing a subset of the keyword tags."

      From Elements 6 help.

However I want real logical AND results. If the search is for "Canon Pro 70" AND "JPG" and there are no files that meet this criteria I want no return. I do not want, say, all the "JPG" and "Canon Pro 70" in Organizer; which is what I get. There are 445 "Canon Pro 70" images all tagged as "CRW" but none "JPG". The return gives me 8817 results made up of 445 + 8372. None of which I want.

      Is this possible?

Yes the link worked with "Canon Pro 70" AND "JPG" Return was zero pictures. Or did it did?

However my next attempt was with "Canon 450D" and "JPG" . Almost all "Canon 450D" are tagged "CR2" but at least 1 and maybe more are tagged "JPG"; I cant tell without checking the properties on each one.

So I check the boxes for "Canon 450D" and "JPG" and get 8687 images, 330 "Canon 450D" and 8357 "JPG" (if you wonder why the "JPG" is now lower than my opening post, it is because I have removed a few "JPG")

I go to Find Bar > Options and check "Hide Close Match Results" 8687 resulting in zero images.

I then Find Bar > Options and check "Show reults that do not match" 5546?.

There is no way that out of 330 images 5546 will be "JPG"

In order to be certain I did shut down Organizer and re-opened; which is pain as my post at shows:-

            Any advice please?

Well, I guess my first question is did you apply CR2 and JPEG as tags? The mere fact that those are the file types does not make tags of them; file type is not stored that way.

Or are you searching for file type? That is not clear from your post.

                Sorry to trouble you.

I need a tag for my blushes.

I tagged "450d" and "CR2" but not the "JPG" images!

Well, I'm glad you got it figured out; no need to blush. :)
