We encountered an indexing issue with our HTML help chm
output using RH5. In two instances, the subkeywords under one
keyword were appearing under the previous keyword.
For example, we had set up the keywords and subkeywords as
follows (in both instances):
KEYWORD1
-Subkeyword1A
-Subkeyword1B
KEYWORD2
-Subkeyword2A
-Subkeyword2B
In the compiled chm, the index appeared as follows:
KEYWORD1
-Subkeyword1A
-Subkeyword1B
-Subkeyword2A
-Subkeyword2B
note: KEYWORD2 was missing altogether.
When looking at the Index tab in RoboHelp, we realized that
we had unused subkeywords that were under KEYWORD1 and KEYWORD2. In
both instances, we decided to keep the keywords unlinked and remove
only the unlinked subkeywords. This resolved the issue for one set
of keywords/subkeywords, but not the other. For the other set, we
had to also link the keyword to resolve the issue.
I was wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences,
and how they went about fixing this issue.
